Message from Nelson Mandela

"Dear Friends

The wonder of the Internet and its promise of a world without borders, of a global citizenry empowered, enriched and interconnected, also brings with it the hope of a world that is more compassionate, more caring and more committed to eradicating poverty and suffering everywhere.

I make this appeal to the Worldwide Internet Community to support us in our efforts to rebuild and uplift the lives of the most vulnerable of the victims of South Africa's past - our children."

Nelson R. Mandela
Founder and Chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund

  Newsflash

Cape Town Child Welfare is on the move!!

After many years of being based at Child Life House in Wynberg and at Struben House in Claremont, Cape Town Child Welfare has consolidated its offices and has relocated to Gatesville, Athlone.

Utilising the site that was previously Annie Starck Village in Lower Klipfontein Road, Head Office Support Services and well as the Athlone, Lotus River/Ottery and Hout Bay offices relocated at the end of December 2004. Chief Executive of Cape Town Child Welfare, Niresh Ramklass sited the move as strategic with this site being used as a gateway to the communities we serve.

The Manenberg, Gugulethu and Khayelitsha offices are to remain within their areas.

The Thembalabantwana model, piloted and so successful in Gugulethu will be used as the blue-print for service delivery.

SUPPORTERS RECEPTION

In November 2005, the bi-annual Donors Reception was held at the beautiful Groote Schuur Presidential Estate in Rondebosch.

An elegant occasion, enhanced by a perfect late Spring evening resulted in a most successful event. The purpose of the evening is to offer a token of appreciation to our loyal and faithful donors, without whom this organisation could not survive.

You salute you all! Thank you.
